Professor Dr.-Ing. Karsten Moritz becomes specialist engineer in membrane structures of the Saxony-Anhalt Chamber of Engineers
As board member of the IMS Bauhaus® Archineer® Institutes e.V. Professor Dr.-Ing. Karsten Moritz is in charge of the preparation course for engineers that intend to apply for the professional title “specialist engineer in membrane structures of the Saxony-Anhalt Chamber of Engineers”. He is structural engineer, architect and doctor in engineering sciences.He holds an honorary professorship in membrane structures and materials at the Anhalt University of Applied Sciences and he has been teaching master's students in the design and analysis of membrane and pneumatic structures since the beginning of the associated IMS institutes.
Furthermore, he is an active member of the German DIN standards mirror committee for the Eurocode membrane structures going to be introduced within the next time and he’s a member of the scientific committee for the international conference Structural Membranes that takes place in Germany and Spain, alternating. Recently he is also appointed as chairman of the committee for the admission of specialist engineers in membrane structures at the Saxony-Anhalt Chamber of Engineers and recognized as the first expert for lightweight and membrane structures by this chamber. We thank Prof. Moritz for his commitment for the education at the IMS and congratulate him on his new responsible tasks at the Chamber of Engineers.
