Specialities:

The membrane “UFO” design is a homage to the Dessau Aircraft industry pioneer  Hugo Junkers, an illuminated landmark of the new shopping centre.

It “hovers” above the entrance and traffic crossing to give orientation to pedestrians seeking for entrance, but it also offers guidance as a landmark for the whole city centre.

The UFO covers an area of about 350 m?. The shape of am aircraft wind does create high uplift forces that have to be covered by strong down cables, “keeping the space ship on ground”.
