Research Projects of the IMS

Besides teaching and training, the IMS is doing intensive research on different membrane and shell construction projects.

The IMS developed the first rollover membrane worldwide. Another innovation, generated by the IMS is an artistic acoustic membrane. Furthermore the IMS is working at procedures to make new fabric membranes, ultra light construction components and hybrids consisting of shell and membrane.
